On a recent visit in September, he brought me (his sister) with him on a day to help with the toys. I was very impressed with the variety of projects being worked on and the friendliness of all those in the shop. In fact, I even had the chance to help paint trucks and assemble cars. Scheffel-Toys Needs Your Help Scheffel-Toys relies heavily on contributions and donations to make it possible to build special toys for children need. We rely on volunteers, so there are no salaries. Every contribution goes into materials to make toys for children. We appreciate the generosity of remodelers for paneling or cupboard doors. Gloss latex polyurethane and paint, particularly in bright colors, can often be used. Some other items we need include glue, nails, sander belts & disks, saw blades, screws, wood filler, wooden dowels and wheels of different sizes. Plywood sheets, 3/16",1/2" and 3/4" are very helpful, along with 1” x 4” and 1” x 6” or 2" x 4" and 2" x 6" boards.  Special Thanks To: Lansing Area Patchers (LAP) for making quilts for doll beds Delta Kiwanis Club, South Lansing Kiwanis, Haslett Kiwanis, and Lansing Kiwanis MPC Lumber for scrap 2x4s & 2x6s and discounts on plywood and 1x4s & 1x6s that we buy.
